It's always great to discover new "features" in GroupWise. For example when you are waiting for a notification if an email has been opened. Most modern Email-Clients support the optional Dispositon-Notification-To header in SMTP-Messages which, when present in an incoming email, requests a response by email from the recipient's client.
Groupwise does not, even if it claims to be able to notify the sender on certain events such as (you already guessed it?) the email has been opened by the recipients MUA. But if we take a closer look on these settings (to be found in options-tab when creating a new email), there is no mentioning that these notifications do only work when being used inside the GroupWise system. Most of this settings get silently dropped by the GWIA when delivered to an outside system.
And, worst of all .... there's no way to fix this behavior ... Sometimes GroupWise sucks .....
