I can't believe it: Debian can be installed on the new Android G1 without loosing the original functionality! In the video you can see them install the "openssh-server" package from gtp.de.debian.org. This is fairly easy because Debian already supports the underlying ARM EABI provided by the CPU of the Android G1.
